Happy April! Will we see April showers bring May flowers?

As of this month’s writing, we do not have any new trips to announce.

We still have limited space on the Day on The Cape trip, Saturday September 21, (lunch, harbor cruise & shopping) – 6 seats open and our 3 day/2-night Christmas tour to Brandywine and Longwood Gardens. If you see a trip listed as SOLD OUT, please contact us to get on the waitlist, as we get cancellations all the time.

We are awaiting the dates for Waterfire in Providence. This will be the 3^rd year in a row offering this trip which has quickly SOLD OUT each time. The trip includes a gondola ride, dinner, and time at Waterfire.

This post is announcing a new day trip as well as our multi day December Christmas trip.

Our new day trip takes us to Cape Cod on the first day of fall – Saturday September 21. Time for shopping, lunch overlooking the harbor and a Hyannis harbor cruise.

Our December 12-14 trip explores the Brandywine Valley, where Southern Pennsylvania meets Northern Delaware. We will explore the DuPont family mansions and Longwood Gardens with all of their Christmas Lights on full display. Come join us on one or both of these trips. Don’t wait to sign up as you can see on our website most of the trips are already filled. Don’t hesitate to join a trip wait list as you can see on some dates we did add a second bus to accommodate demand. Flyers are attached under each trip.

We are still waiting for Waterfire to announce their schedule sometime in April, and Tanglewood will not be having any day time concerts by the Boston Pops.

This post is announcing another new day trip for this year!

Saturday October 19 we are off to everyone’s favorite theater Ogunquit Playhouse for the World Premier of “My Best Friend’s Wedding”. (Remember the movie with Julia Roberts??). This trip also features a new restaurant for us. We have a few other trips we are currently working on – Saturday September 21 “A Day on the Cape” with a harbor cruise and a 3-day holiday trip to Brandywine Country and Longwood Gardens December 12-14,2024. These trips are not complete and the flyers are not ready yet. mark your calendars for both trips.

We are still waiting to hear if the Boston Pops will be doing a Sunday afternoon show at Tanglewood this year as well as the schedule for “Waterfire” in Providence. 

Our first day trip for 2024 takes of this coming Saturday February 10 Art & Wine. As always if a trip is listed as full, ask to be placed on the waitlist. Doing that helps us to decide to add another date or a second bus to the original trip! Thank You for your continued support and looking forward to seeing everyone this year.

Saturday May 18 – We are riding Amtrak’s “Downeaster” train to Portland Maine with lunch included at our favorite restaurant. Don’t wait to sign up as it’s sure to be a sell out!

We also want to let you know the following day trips both have less than 10 seats left. Sunday March 17 to see “CHER” the play at the Boch Center in Boston and Saturday April 20, “The Play That Goes Wrong“.

We have added a second bus to the Newport Flower Show on Saturday June 22. We recommend signing up for any of these trips as soon as you can before they sell out.

We are also doing a survey for a Christmas Themed trip in December this year. Do we journey to Longwood Gardens and visit the Dupont Mansion in Penn for 3 days; a 3 or 4 day trip to Penn Dutch to include “Daniel” at the Sight & Sound Theater or do we journey back to the White Mountain Hotel for 3 days. Please send us your suggestions by email to fredandawaywegotravel@gmail.com or call the office (508) 521-6882.

It’s hard to believe we are coming to the end of 2023. As the year comes to a close we want to take a moment to say thank you for your loyalty and trust in us.  We can’t wait to make new travel memories with you in 2024.
