Lynn Coughlin’s FAM report – “Set in the Iberostar complex with four other sister hotels (The Grand, Maya, Del Mar and Beach), the Iberostar Lindo s looks great. The lobby is authentically Mexican in décor. The brightly colored buildings housing the guest rooms all interconnect from the lobby so guests walking to their rooms are covered in case of inclement weather. The guest rooms are attractively furnished. Noteworthy is the Family Suite category which consists of two connecting standard rooms. The five pools are a big draw especially the lazy river, activity and wave pools. In addition to the four a la carte and one buffet restaurant at the resort, guests have exchange dinning with seven other restaurants at the del Mar and Beach. Reservations are required for the a la carte restaurants and can be made each morning. Another benefit of being in the complex for Lindo guests is the access to three different theatres for nightly entertainment (Lindo, Del Mar and The Beach). The resort offers guests free wifi in the lobby. For wifi elsewhere there is a charge of $4 per hour or $14 per day. There are also weekly wifi packages available. The resort offers a shuttle into Playa del Carmen for $5.00 each way per person. Shuttle times to Playa shuttle are 9am, 11am 2pm and 5pm and returns from to the Lindo at 12 noon, 3pm, 6pm and 8pm. The grounds are beautiful and tropical and the beach looked great. Recommend with confidence to families, friends and couples traveling together. This is a winner!”
